Cross-Training (45 minutes)

Notes:
Went lap swimming this evening — actually, I probably shouldn’t call it lap swimming cos I read somewhere that it’s better to call it interval lap swimming… lol if that actually makes a difference.

Here are the drills I performed (with 15 to 30 seconds rest in-between! LOL) 

5 x 50 “Thumb to Thigh” Freestyle 
5 x 50 “Closed Fist” Freestyle 
5 x 50 “Touch and Go” Freestyle (Slow)
5 x 50 “Sighting” Freestyle (Slow)

plus 2 x 50 kickboard flutter kick and 2 x 50 breaststroke for cool down.

Oh, I felt like an idiot doing the “sighting” freestyle. I think I need to refer to the instructional video I saw on YouTube again! This is also another nice video to learn technique (the instructor is nice on the eyes, too ;))

I’ll go swimming again tomorroz and on Thursday, my 3-mile run. I think I’m going to skip the 4 mile run at pace on Saturday and will instead move my Sunday 9-miler to that day. LOL I’m typing out-loud and attempting to convince/persuading myself of this plan. ^_^
