#Repost @desertdashtrailraces SO humbled & stoked to represent Desert Dash this season! Get. Some. Trail. ^_^・・・Next up Raciel Diaz, one of our new Trail Junkies for 2017! Raciel splits her time between Las Vegas and California, helping host the Monday night west-side runs when she's in town. Another insanely positive, happy person, she can always help cheer you up during a tough race or run. Raciel is also an ambassador for Nuun. "I earned my trail legs in California, on the historic single tracks in Folsom & Auburn, but my trail heart grew in Las Vegas. On my first trail run in Nevada, I was taken aback with how patient the two bearded trail dudes — Joshua & Stephen — were with me when they introduced me to the rugged Cliff Shadows. I took nearly 2 hours to do 4.4 miles but had the biggest smile on my face when I finished. I'm grateful to have found Rebecca on the west side of town who started a group of runners often getting lost, I mean, having adventures on Mondays (#neverboring). I'm humbled to be part of the Official Trail Junkie family and am excited at the prospect of introducing other runners to the southern Nevada trails and the enjoyable Desert Dash races. Don't be intimidated by the bearded dudes, the 'baby rocks' attempting to trip you up, or the steep climbs. As an ultrarunner once said, 'it's not walking when you're out on the trails, it's power hiking.'" -Raciel#desertdash #trailjunkie #officialtrailjunkie #getsometrail [instagram]
