Whereas last week, I was telling myself that I would not survive the SD marathon cos I was out-of-shape, this morning, I had only planned on running 10 miles but ended up adding 2 more (albeit 14 miles was scheduled today) because it was a nice day &#8212; for me, a nice running day means no sun, not that warm or cold and somewhat breezy. So I&#039;m a bit more positive about the marathon in less than a month&#039;s time; as long as the weather is good, I suppose! LOL. Anyway, I burned 1,151 calories and ran an average pace of 12&#039;14&quot;\/mi. One thing I noticed, though, compared to the 10 miler I had a few weeks ago, I ate more of my Jelly Belly sport beans (about 2 beans every 3 miles) and was able to finish my 20oz serving of Gatorade. No pains this weekend; the blisters on my feet had healed during the week and it didn&#039;t hurt or &#039;resurface&#039; today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Notes:What a difference some pasta the night before and cool weather makes!
