I had a great day at the La Jolla Shores beach today. “Getting some sun” and being outdoors really helps if you're looking to recuperate from a tough work week. Of course, having really yummy food plus hanging out with great people tops it off. I actually helped my friend's daughter (and her friends) to build a sand castle — and it was pretty! (It was a somewhat abstract\/neo-gothic castle, but it was definitely pretty) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
\nYou might be wondering, what were you doing at a beach 2 hours away?! Well, if you must know, it was the birthday party of my friend, his daughter and his mother-in-law. Actually, it was supposed to be a surprise birthday party, but my friend's wife kind of posted incorrect directions, so everyone ended up calling the celebrant for directions! LOL. Anyway, it all worked out — everyone had fun \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n
\nI 'm just happy that the ocean was fairly “clean”… I found out today that the beach in my area was temporarily closed down due to some sewage spill! Exactly 10,000 gallons of raw sewage “spilled” into the ocean. See the sad report here<\/a>. Doesn't that suck?!<\/p>\n Alrighty..
