As posted a day or two ago, we got back to Los Angeles County safe and sound. The drive back home, of course, was more perilous than our drive up the mountain — we actually did not run into any rain, or snow, or hail while going up on Friday evening. So we only had an issue or two about our snow chains, and I got a pounding sinus attack on the drive up, but other than that, everything else was relatively calm.<\/p>\n
\nWhen we arrived up there, the cabin where we stayed at was so cute! I actually loved its “modern” feel, as opposed to a “woodsy” (traditional) cabin feel (e.g., dark walls, etc.). There was more than enough room for the 7 of us, there were 2 bedrooms, 1 and 1\/2 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining area and the living room — I have pics in my gallery<\/a> \ud83d\ude42 The next morning, the rain\/hail started again, but visibility was fine and we headed to the mountain. <\/p>\n \nHELMETS are your friend! And we were all grateful for wearing our helmets that day. I got my first nasty spill at the beginning of the run; In fact, I believe I recreated Herman's spill a few weeks back (where he ended up with a concussion!). Sharon got hit by the chair (LOL), and Annelle hit herself with her board [i]before[\/i] any snowboarding activity… LMAO! I'm sure Joel bumped his head sometime that day, too. Overall, we're all fine because of HELMETS. \/end PSA. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n \nOh yah, something new and something that I might continue on my next snowboarding adventure… VIDEO clips! YESHHHHH! I actually took all the video clips of our boarding day and made a short film about it. No dialogue, just some boarding scenes and great background music, IMHO.
