Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Truest of words from the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, and one I should take to heart. You see, I haven&#8217;t been running <del>at all<\/del> <del>recently<\/del>\u00a0regularly, and if I want to get better at it\u00a0and perhaps\u00a0do ultra distances like my big sis, I <em>need<\/em>\u00a0to get some running done. However,\u00a0the summer weather in Las Vegas has made it difficult for me to get my motivation going. And then, you would think that having an impending race would be motivation enough\u00a0to go out and train, but as I have done repeatedly in the past, I ran an event with little to no training and surely enough, suffered for 4 days from excessive\u00a0soreness. xD<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s next? Three races in November &#8212; two trail runs (half + 10k)\u00a0and another road half marathon. I&#8217;m not too concerned about the latter, but have aspirations to beat my previous best for the trail half then\u00a0trail 10k the next day. Do I have a training plan in place for those two races I want to PR? Not yet. Have I ran since my half-marathon last Sunday? Nope, haven&#8217;t put\u00a0in any miles in&#8230; But I <em>will\u00a0<\/em>get back into the running habit! It&#8217;s not like I&#8217;ve lost the enjoyment of running, either. On the contrary, despite having a major headache (read: hangover) at my race on Sunday, I still had loads of fun. Loads. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s to getting\u00a0back on\u00a0the road to\u00a0place\u00a0some quality miles on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altrarunning.com\/fitness\/en\/Altra\/Women\/one-women\">The One,<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0working towards that\u00a0PR-busting fitness again. ^_^<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nWe are what we repeatedly do.
