Dave finished the Ironman Florida yesterday and the title of &#8220;Ironman&#8221; couldn&#8217;t go to a more deserving guy! Congrats to Ellen, too for surviving being a spectator. \ud83d\ude09 I&#8217;m sure, though, it&#8217;ll only be a matter of time &#8217;til she becomes an Ironman, too.<\/p>\n<p>I met Dave &amp; Ellen years ago when we all worked for Nike&#8217;s running club, Club RunLA, and have kept in touch since. When I found out Dave did open water clinics, my sis and I were more than happy to sign up. Granted we need to attend more swim clinics to be truly comfy in the ocean, aspiring to do an Ironman (or even a half-iron distance) is, er, inspiring!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, well done to Coach Dave!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m proud to say that my open water swim coach (and friend) is now an Ironman! wOOt!
