Race: Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon

A few weeks before this race, I decided that I would be taking it easy and running it as part of my training run for the Marine Corps Marathon a week later. It ended up being that and then some. I volunteered to pace some friends during the race and although I had to leave a few behind (my sister and Sheryl — sorry!!!), I did get this lady (Aileen) to finish her first half marathon in under three hours! Get this, she was a recent cancer-survivor, too.<\/p>\n
It was certainly a humbling experience and a reminder of the power of the human spirit! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
p.s.,
