Aw, isn’t sisy sweet! <3 sis.

Now, I bought a multi-vitamin (NatureMade Multi [Vitamin] For Her) a while back but after like, the 3rd consecutive day of taking it (or probably shorter, lol), I just kept forgetting to take it. Eep. So back to last night, she essentially bought the — er, essentials for women our age (30’s).

They are:
– Healthy Indulgence, Calcium 500 + Vit. D & Antioxidants (Dark Chocolate!) This supplement tastes too good to be good for you. I know too much of a good thing is bad, so I’m very careful only taking the prescribed two delicious chocolate pieces per day. Anyway, Vit-D “is the best nutrient found to help promote calcium absorption and enhances the bone building process” (as posted on the box!)

– Garden of Life, Vitamin Code Raw B-Complex This comes in capsule form and though I have a phobia with capsule-enclosed medicines (well, not really a phobia but I just didn’t like them much growing up!) this one was actually ok. Raw-B apparently is good for “mental and physical energy, heart and blood health, metabolism and immune system support and healthy response to stress.”

– Lindberg, Vitamin A (10,000 IU) This is for eye, skin, and mucous membrane health, Vitamin D (2,000 IU) for your bones, teef and overall health, and Chewable Calcium (plus Boron and Add’l Nutrients) for bone health

It’s too early to tell how much these are really helping and I’ll be monitoring my health and overall well-being to see if there’s a noticeable difference (i.e., check my pee colour — lol TMI!) I should note that once I run out of the delicious chocolate calcium supplements, I’ll work on the chewable calcium next.

I leave you now with a good article I tweeted this afternoon on Vitamins for Women:
http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/health/body/head-to-toe/multivitamins/

Big sis surprised me last night when I returned from church (BTW, she ditched me from going to the same church and instead opted to go to an earlier [and speedier] mass!) with a slew of vitamins she bought from the store.
