How this technology can help the elderly (i.e., keep track of their heart beat), or perhaps help others who need that little push if they&#8217;ve been just sitting about. Well, as usual, this idea was already thought of by someone else&#8230; Sorry of my life. &gt;_&lt;<\/p>\n<p>Check this <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/booster_shots\/2009\/06\/r-u-2-lazy.html\">article out<\/a>. It&#8217;s a great concept:\u00a0A wireless body monitor that keeps track of the person&#8217;s heartrate and whether they&#8217;ve been sedentary! The device has an <em>accelerometer, a heart rate monitor, a GPS device and a sensor that measures the electrical conductivity of skin. All the data is relayed to a Nokia phone, which then transmits it to a secure server. <\/em>Can you imagine a ADT adding this to your home security plan? Or your friend texting you cos they know you&#8217;ve been sitting on your arse the entire day?
