4 hours X-train?

Does 4-hours worth of snowboarding count as cross-training?

I think I’ve practically undone that with some carne asada and two margaritas. Ugh. Why do I always over-do m physical activity with overblown meals! Actually, let me add a quarter plate of chilli cheese fries (and half of a chilli dog), as well. >_<

Still, I can definitely feel the burn in my quads and I’m sorta counting today as a workout day (albeit won’t note about it on my Daily Mile record).

In other news, a 8.8 magnitude quake hit Chile earlier today. I never thought that I’d hear about an 8.8 Richter scale earthquake in my lifetime. Sad and rather frightening at the same time. If I were the conspiracy type (and sometimes, I am), I’d say it’s nearing the end of the world (with Haiti and then this…), *sigh* it could also just mean that Mother Earth is rebelling against us. WTH am I talking about?! Iono. Something for you to ponder this evening, I suppose.  +_+

Gold stah!

I gave myself a gold star today.

WTH am I talking about? Well, remember in kindergarten when you’d be good, you’d get a gold star sticker from your teacher? LOL. Yesh, times haven’t changed and I give myself a gold star sticker to slap on my calendar whenever I complete a scheduled workout.

Lately, I’ve only been doing like, half of my scheduled workouts so I cut the sticker in half before slapping it on. However, today, I gave myself a whole gold star (wheeee!) for doing three (3) cardio midweek workouts in a row.

The day’s not over. I’m going to do 30 minutes of resistance training (arms) and which will render me exhausted and will most likely pass-out around 8:30PM. lolz.

My iPod is still missing.

Technically, it’s misplaced. I brought it up to my room and set it down… somewhere. LOL. That was 2 months ago.

A few days ago, I dreamt that I found it and though I tend to remember my dreams, I was unable to recall where I had found it in my dream and as a result, still can’t find the darn iPod. I guess I should start my spring cleaning early! >_<

In other news, I’m going snowboarding this weekend (wOOt!) and am debating whether or not I should count that as a workout. I mean, technically snowboarding is a physical activity and if I wear my Heart Rate monitor, I should be able to see my actual exertion… That would mean, though, that I’ll have the HRM strap on me nearly the entire day. Wearing it for over 5 hours is already uncomfy but if it’s for workout tracking purposes, I might just suck it up and wear the darn thing. But then again, I wonder if it’ll work at that altitude and harsh temperatures. Soz, just thinking out loud. We’ll see…

Oh and thanks to Sharoool, I’m on Daily Mile now. It’ll be like FB, except more motivational, leaner and less games (oh I miss thee!) ^_^
