I had the weirdest supper last night and I know "odd" is in the eye of the beholder, but here goes: I began the evening with a handful of roasted-sea-salted almonds. Then I had a scoop of Bryers Rocky Road ice-cream on a fudge top cone and one chocolate pretzel stick. LOL. Shortly after that, or I guess, after feeling that I just had a dose of junk, I served myself a spring salad with homemade vinaigrette, then finished it off with another handful of almonds.

Tonight, I (just) had a blueberry muffin, am going to have another handful of almonds and a salad. LOL. I'm not on a diet. I've just been lazy and am counting down to the number of hours when mum finally arrives (yay!) and cooks a proper supper for us!

Weeks ago, my fishy "Angelina Jolie" did not survive the rigors of my fishtank. To my dismay, the remaining two fishies at that time ate the decomposing corpse down to the bone! >_< So as expected (well, at least that's what my friend's mum told me after I told her what happened to my fishies); both Silas and Sandy have perished — no doubt from eating Angelina Jolie's corpse and my inability to clean the tank soon afterwards.

I finally had to fish out their floating bodies on Friday evening and then on Sunday, was finally able to clean the stupid fish tank of all the gunk. It was so nasty. Had like, a really fishy smell and had loads of fish crap (I'm hoping it was their poop and not guts >_<) I was actually considering of getting a new tank and just donating the old one (sans washing it) but thought that I could save that $70 into my road bike fund or other discretionary expenses.

Anyway, off to Petco I went and bought 3 more fishes to populate the now clean/empty tank… I splurged and went for the $2.00/a piece Red Wagtail Platy fish (which I got for 99 cents a piece cos of the Petco membership thingy).

I gave the 3 new WAGtail's names about an hour after their arrival at home: they are Spike, and Posh & Becks (i.e., Victoria and David Beckham). LOL. I should've read that link (see above) before I named Posh and Becks cos I ended up calling the male fish, Posh and the female Becks… But I think it'll work out in the end. ^_^

Haven't been around much lately but for that pre-posted (*the horror!*) 4th of July greeting. In any case, I finally have a free moment to update myself on myself (and whoever else is reading about myself).

I'm still working on getting fit for a triathlon next year, not to mention train for this October's half-marathon and the San Antonio Half, too. Speaking of triathlons, I mentioned weeks prior that I can't really borrow my older sis' road bike so I've been doing some research on (cheap) road bicycles… Which led me to that expression (see title.)

Road bikes are not cheap! They're effing pricey and I'm not talking about $500+; they're more like $1500+ (USD). Oof! Of course, I can always find a used one, but it might be difficult finding a good sized bike for someone like me (vertically-challenged). I guess if I just go for whatever, I can get a road bike for less than $400 but I was hoping to find a lightweight one with a particular number of gears and other features… In other words, the search continues.
