Notes:
What a difference some pasta the night before and cool weather makes! Whereas last week, I was telling myself that I would not survive the SD marathon cos I was out-of-shape, this morning, I had only planned on running 10 miles but ended up adding 2 more (albeit 14 miles was scheduled today) because it was a nice day — for me, a nice running day means no sun, not that warm or cold and somewhat breezy. So I'm a bit more positive about the marathon in less than a month's time; as long as the weather is good, I suppose! LOL. Anyway, I burned 1,151 calories and ran an average pace of 12'14"/mi. One thing I noticed, though, compared to the 10 miler I had a few weeks ago, I ate more of my Jelly Belly sport beans (about 2 beans every 3 miles) and was able to finish my 20oz serving of Gatorade. No pains this weekend; the blisters on my feet had healed during the week and it didn't hurt or 'resurface' today.
