Good Friday yesterday and no run today.

Saturday, 07 April 2007 | 05:14 am

I don't know how to fast. Yesterday was Good Friday so fasting and abstinence were called for. Even with the morning snack, I was practically hypoglycemic (well, maybe not but I did have a headache) by the afternoon. When I finally ate my "one" meal later that day, I felt like I cheated the whole act of fasting cos I ate quite a bit and had some chocolate cookies immediately after as a snack. >_<

Anyway, the Good Friday service last night was quite touching and inspirational. There was one small incident, however, with my friend and former-Choir buddy, Emily. Please pray for her. She passed out at church (she's only 1 8) and they had to call the paramedics. Her dad, our Parish's Deacon and the presider that evening, was "relieved" by our Parish priest, Fr. Ray, so that he can tend to his daughter. Fr. Ray explained this to us at the end of the liturgy in case people wondered how Deacon Scott transfigured into Fr. Ray. LOL! omigosh sorry, I'm such a bad person; it's just that, I didn't see that they switched places and then I wondered how the hech did Deacon Scott turn into Fr. Ray. >_< If you believe in the power of prayer, please say one for my friend.

Back to the running bit — yah, so since I didn't know how to fast and was practically physically starved, I decided to move my run to early tomorrow morning. It should be a nice Easter morning run anyway. I think I can have my pasta dinner (e.g., carbo-load). Here's to 15 miles! +_+

Training Run: 7 miles

Wednesday, 04 April 2007 | 07:59 am

Notes:
/me pats herself on her back. I actually stuck to my training schedule today and ran the prescribed 7 miles. It was an easy pace of 13:24 minutes/mile and I actually got to run the first 20 minutes straight without stopping or walking! Then, I upped the pace a bit for another 5 minutes before walking. lol. I think I'm returning to my previous running fitness and I hope on Saturday, I'll be able to run more rather than walk — although, I think I need to figure out a walking interval (Irene runs every 6 minutes and walks for 1 minute; My sis runs for 8 minutes and walks for 1 minute)… Perhaps I can start walking after 30 minutes of running and do a 6-1 interval. Or maybe 7-1… hmmmm… Anyway, I burned about 640 calories this morning (minus the 3 ClifShot BLOKs I ate). The run itself was not bad — the weather was cloudy and cool which I think is perfect. Tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can run 3 miles during my lunch break. Then a well deserved rest on Friday before the 15-miler on the weekend! ^_^

Warning, random sites below! Proceed with caution… lol.

Exhibit 21: Statistics: The Movie
I can honestly say that I have met and have had lunch with a "Hollywood" director. More like, eat-your-lunch-in-front-of-the-computer-and-converse-via-AIM-despite-being-3-feet-from-each-other. Hehehe. Anyway, that's his movie; he was in Cannes last year to present this film, as well. Of course, I'm still waiting for my invite to a movie premiere but in the meantime, let's share a movie moment, er, I mean, a movie website moment.

Exhibit 22: Animsan.net Concept Sketches
I love to draw. Unfortunately, I sux at drawring. So, the next best thing is to view this guy's awesome sketches and try to see how he does it. There are only a few on there but I'm hoping he's gonna post more *ahem* Anie? ^_^

Do hope you enjoy ze sites above. Auf Wieder-laters-ciao!
