Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Friday, 17 March 2006 | 06:31 pm

w00t.

My sis said something really absurd: The Los Angeles Archdiocese issued a dispensation today. Yep, Cardinal Mahoney authorised all Catholics in his diocese to momentarily ignore the “No Meat” during the Fridays of Lent cos it was… St. Paddy's Day! So all the nice Catholics (even if they're not Irish) can have their corned beef and cabbage… Anyway, Iono if my sis is just kidding or summat (I can't find the dispensation on the archdiocese website so who really knows. Anyway, I just thought that was really absurd. +_+

Training Run: 5 miles

Friday, 17 March 2006 | 06:14 pm

Notes:
I was unable to run 6 miles today (was .13 miles short — lol!). I had to end my run early cos I was going to be late to Stations of the Cross @ church. Anyway, the run was fine — I tried out my new insoles (with arch support) and it felt weird at first but I think 20 minutes into the run, I was fine. I think I should start cross-training again, though; either Tae Bo or Pilates and then need to do some stretching (probably Yoga). It was really nice running this afternoon after the rain, too. There weren't that many people @ the beach, so the strand/boardwalk was fairly empty. It was windy, though and I forget to wear my vest and I felt like I was being held back by the wind. Anyway, it'll be my 12 mile run this weekend. I'm going to be running alone, too cos my sis Minel will be running the LA Marathon. I have to remind myself to bring some extra Gatorade and GU…

Tuna detox?

Thursday, 16 March 2006 | 07:32 pm

I think I had one-two-many cans of tuna to eat this week. I will spare you the gross details, well maybe not — I can totally smell tuna when I pee. (Sorry, I know, too much info.) It prolly didn't help that last night, I had 3 buffalo wings and a chicken and nachos dish for supper. I had more buffalo wings for lunch (left-overs) and then my stomach finally complained. I did have a salad as well, but that wasn't enough roughage apparently. It's probably best that I have some rice porridge or summat until I've “stabilised” my tummy. I want my mum. >_<

On a much lighter note, I created an alternate South Park character that's less, cartoony than the last one I posted. Anyway, here it is:

RaDragon on South Park

Oh yah, Herman (and my other Trekkie pals) — have you seen this programme on telly? “How William Shatner Changed the World“. It was on the History Channel this evening from 8PM to 10PM. Quite interesting (and certainly funny cos Billy Shatner totally (jokingly) disses Star Trek!) I wanna get the DVD — lol!
